South Dakota Pheasant Drive

This weekend I had a wonderful show in Presho, SD. A small town of about 500 people. What was the most surpising thing about the drive was the amount of Ring Neck Pheasants. I do not think I traveled more than 5 miles on the highway without seeing one male or a couple of females. The females are not brighly coloured, they are brown and whiteish. In Canada it is not common to see them on the road, but in the Dakota’s they seem to run the state
