What special needs might a corporation who is looking to hire entertainment require?
JayDee believes the biggest need at a corporate event is clean, classy and fun entertainment where everyone can relax, enjoy the show and afterwards feel good about watching or participating in it. No one, or should we say very few people, want to be embarrassed at a corporate function. They have to work or interact with the people in the audience the next day or next week. Corporations put on functions thoughtfully though. Usually a committee of people has decided on all the details such as food, a venue, centerpieces etc. This same committee has chosen the entertainment to match most or all of the other details. Sometimes certain show themes may be requested or specific pieces of music need to be played and JayDee can and will get it done. In a corporate setting he stays away from sex, politics, religious and violent themes. The guests are there to have fun, not to get into a great moral debate or be offended.
A corporate event also expects more from an entertainer than a bar would. I arrive onstage dressed in a two piece suit, silk shirt and dress shoes. Jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt would not be appropriate for a corporate event. Corporate events demand classy entertainment in all ways and JayDee gives that to them.
What sorts of corporate events has JayDee entertained at?
He has performed at many different corporate events but mainly they are staff parties or Christmas parties for companies in the oil patch, food manufacturers, surveyors, town councils, city finance departments and marketing firms to name a few. He has also performed at corporate fundraisers and charities, raising money and performing for groups such as The Canadian Burn Foundation, Children of Ecuador Education Foundation, The Horizon Centre, Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

• How long is your show? Approx 60 to 120 minutes.
