What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis - a state like sleep in which the subject acts on external suggestions or artificially produced circumstances.
What is stage hypnosis?
Stage hypnosis - refers to the practice of hypnotizing people/persons in front of a live audience.
Note: Did you know that some adults can get very self conscious acting silly around kids? I therefore generally do not allow children under the age of 14 to undergo hypnosis on stage (unless it’s an all kid’s show).
What type of hypnosis shows does JayDee perform?
JayDee only performs one type of stage hypnosis show; clean, classy and funny. If you’d want “another” type of hypnosis (i.e. adult rated), please find another hypnotist. It is JayDee’s belief that hypnosis shows are either clean or dirty… not some times one, or other times, the other. He assumes there is a market for an adult rated hypnosis show because of the large number of performers who currently offer them. Those other performers are entitled to do their show as they see fit.
JayDee’s question to parents though…
“Would you want to have YOUR kids on the same stage as a hypnotist who performs a dirty adult show with sexual content, swearing and humiliation?”
Do you pre-select those on your stage or are they volunteers?
JayDee never picks people to come up and never forces people to join in. He only wants volunteers to come up on his stage. He will respect your wishes if you just want to sit and watch the show but he genuinely hopes you will laugh and cheer your friends and colleagues on!
I have never been hypnotized before, can you really hypnotize me?
Although JayDee is professionally trained he can only hypnotize those persons who allow it. A hypnotist cannot hypnotize you against your will. The person being hypnotized gives control over to the hypnotist and because it is a matter of people giving control away, he treats his volunteers with dignity and respect. You must be able to relax to be hypnotized, physically and mentally. Up on JayDee’s stage, if you follow his instructions and do what he ‘suggests’ you do, you will have a great experience!
What type of sound and lighting stage equipment do you have?
For crystal clear sound quality, JayDee uses a compact but powerful newly released Bose L1/PS1/B1. He also uses a Mackie mixer and two white spotlights with gels, one Martin water effect light and one Cyborg.
Do you have liability insurance for the safety of you and your volunteers?
Yes. JayDee has $1M dollars worth of liability insurance and is trained in Standard First Aid and level B CPR.
